Biography
Jason Hardrath is a record-setting endurance athlete, educator, and motivational speaker whose story reminds us that our greatest limitations can become our greatest strengths.
Raised in Baker City, Oregon, Jason developed a deep love for the outdoors thanks to his parents. As a child diagnosed with ADHD, he quickly discovered that movement wasn’t just an outlet—it was his superpower. Running gave him focus, purpose, and a path forward.
Jason ran competitively through high school and college, ultimately finding his way into the grueling world of Ironman triathlons. But in 2015, everything changed. A devastating car accident nearly ended his athletic career, and doctors told him he might never run again.
Rather than accept defeat, Jason leaned into the mantra that would define his journey: “You become the story you tell yourself.”
Determined to write a better story, he turned to the mountains as both therapy and training ground. There, he discovered the world of Fastest Known Times (FKTs)—a pursuit that combined his love of endurance with his drive to overcome. Each summit became a step in reclaiming his life.
In a feat that captured national attention, Jason completed his 100th FKT by summiting The Bulgers—Washington’s 100-highest peaks—in just 50 days, 23 hours, and 43 minutes . That achievement cemented his place in adventure history and earned sponsorships with top brands like Athletic Brewing, Vuori, and Peak Refuel.
But Jason’s mission isn’t just about records—it’s about impact. He now travels the country as a motivational speaker, using his journey to empower students, athletes, entrepreneurs, and creatives to challenge their limits, rewrite their inner narratives, and set them on upward spirals into their necessary frontier adventure.
Whether on a mountaintop or a stage, Jason reminds us that the human spirit is limitless—when we choose courage, choose movement, and choose to believe in the story we want to live.
